| | Les Deux Pigeons
Some years ago we bought our house "Les Deux Pigeons", situated in the Provence
on an upland plain along the river Durance, about 8 kilometres north- east of
Sisteron.
The house, located in a tranquil rural area and surrounded by the mountains of
he Haute Provence, was built in 1890. The lovely surroundings, the people, the
mountains, the numerous sunny days, allowing us to have lunch in the garden even
in November and December and dazzlingly beautiful stars at night, made us decide
to settle down here.
A thorough renovation followed in order to meet the needs of today's requirements,
maintaining the traditional French character of the house. After the construction
of a wonderful swimming-pool we can now receive visitors to enjoy the good French
life.
We can offer the following accommodation:
“Les Ramiers” (the wood-pigeons) for bed and breakfast
“Les Tourterelles” (the turtle-doves) for bed and breakfast
“Les Colombes” (the pigeons) an apartment sleeping 1-4, self catering
Both rooms and the apartment can be rented as a group accommodation sleeping 1-8.
Our guests are free to relax in our garden round the house. On the north side
as well as on the south side there are several terraces offering the possibility
of enjoying the tranquillity and the view of the Alpes de Haute Provence. Our
private swimming-pool is available to have a refreshing swim. You will find
various brochures with activities, events and excursions in our reception-room /
sitting-room. Among other things you can enjoy gliding, horse-riding, cycling,
walking or golfing not far from “Les Deux Pigeons”. For a fair price guests
can join the host and hostess a number of times a week to enjoy a wonderful
regional dish or to enjoy the menu of the day on other weekdays.
So whether you are looking for a longer stay or simply an overnight break,
self-catering or B&B, contact us and we will make your stay a comfortable and
most memorable one.
We look forward to welcoming you to “Les Deux Pigeons”.
