After 14 years of receiving guests and friends, we have now decided to retire definitively. This concludes a wonderful period in our lives. We look back on it with great pleasure and will keep the beautiful moments in our memories.
The convivial meals at the long tables in front of the house, the colourful, special and often humorous guests, the music and singing together, the naturalists, the walkers, cyclists and motorcyclists, the barbecue specialist, the handy do-it-yourselfers with their tips, the campers.
From almost ruin in 2003 to a beautiful place to live today; the house has undergone a true metamorphosis during that period, which was only possible with the great help and mental support of our family and friends. “La porte de Vaumeilh”. That’s what the then mayor called our house, the first clearly visible house when you come to Vaumeilh from Sisteron.
With an enormous sense of gratitude we will continue to think back to all the lovely people who helped us and of course to all the loyal guests we received at Les Deux Pigeons.
The website will be shut down soon; the new owners will not continue the rental business.
A chapter is closed but the two pigeons continue in another place in France.
